At Jazz Vermont, Band Camp for Grownups, you will be joining one of our 8 bands. If you join one of our 3 big bands, you will be playing in a section with other players, playing the music of Basie, Ellington, Kenton, Marsalis, Gillespie, McConnell and more. If you join one of our smaller bands, the octet, or nonet, you will be playing great charts by the masters. The Bands Rehearse every day in the morning and the evening each for 2 1/2 hours. You will also be participating in section rehersals every afternoon for about an hour.

Jeff Galindo is our jazz trombone guest artist. He is currently on the faculty at the Berklee College of Music and a Ray Charles Band alumnus. Jeff directs one of the bands at Jazz Vermont and conducts trombone workshops during the week.

As a tenor trombonist or bass trombonist at Jazz Vermont you also can attend our daily improvisation workshop taught by Jerry Bergonzi. Jerry Bergonzi is a world renowned tenor saxophonist, has written 6 books on jazz improv applicable to ALL instruments. His books include, Melodic Structures, Pentatonic Scales, BeBopScales and Jazz Rhythms.

As a bass trombonist or tenor trombonist at Jazz Vermont you can also have a private lesson with Jerry Bergonzi scheduled during the week. (There is a separate charge for private lessons). If you have any questions, please call us. (800 242-8785).

First time trombonists at JV can attend for $1199.00 (participant shared room) or $914.00 (participant commuter*) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI. Regular price for a shared room is $1374.00. There is an additional charge of $200.00 for a private room. This offer cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions.
