Yes! Please include the following information:
Jazz Vermont, Inc. Jazz Vermont was created by Byron Siegal just after he
graduated from Vermont Law School. The idea for Jazz Vermont came out of
the baseball fantasy camps and the Vermont Law School Community Jazz
Ensemble that Byron Siegal directed from 1982-1984. Blending these two
concepts into a fantasy camp for musicians created Jazz Vermont. Byron
Siegal has been running Jazz Vermont since 1985. Jazz Vermont is pleased
to offer the BIG-BAND mailing list to the big-band jazz community for an
active interchange of ideas.
You're welcome to our list, but remember our discussion focuses on
big-band jazz. Other usenet facilities you might want to know about
include: * The rec.music.classical, newsgroup; * The
rec.music.classical.performing, newsgroup: * The rec.arts.drumcorps,
newsgroup; * The Brass Mailing List; * The Trobmone-L Mailing List; * The
Community-Music Mailing List; * The JazzBass Mailing List;
* Have fun!! * Advertising is frowned upon. You can announce that people
can get catalogues etc. but I'd rather not see wholesale advertising. If
your community group has a CD that would be fine and different than
trying to sell 500 individual CD titles none of which has any- thing to
do with community big bands. * If commercial advertising gets out of hand
I will consider moderating the list.
Easiest way is to leave Feedback at the Jazz Vermont web site.
